Arranging a Funeral

We will guide you through every step of arranging the funeral of your loved one.
The following is a list of some of the questions we will ask you when arranging the funeral.

Is the service to be a cremation or burial?

Where would you like the service to be held?

Type of service, to be conducted by religious minister, civil or humanist?
If the service is to be a burial, which churchyard or cemetery?
Would you like your loved one to wear their own clothing or for us to provide a shroud?
If your loved one is wearing jewellery, a decision will need to be made if it is to remain on, or to remove for a keepsake.
What sort of music and/or hymns would you like? For further information please click here.
Would you like hymn sheets printed?
Would you like us to give out name cards at the funeral? (This is for people to write their names and a personal message on. We would then collect the cards after the service and give to yourselves).
Where will you require to meet for the service? At the service or from deceased or family home, or from our Chapel of Rest?
Do you require a limousine(s)? (In each limousine there is room for seven passengers).

Will you be having family flowers and asking for donations in lieu to a chosen charity, or flowers and donations to give people an option or just to have flowers?

You will need to order your flowers from a florist, either you can ring or go into their shop and they will show you a brochure with the different flower tributes they can do. These will then be delivered to us two hours prior the funeral time.

Do you require for a death notice to be placed in either a local or national newspaper? We can give assistance in compiling wording.
